About Paillote Trottel Beach

Nestled along the pristine shores of Plage Du Trottel in Ajaccio, Paillote Trottel Beach offers a true taste of Corsica’s coastal charm. This beachside paillote captures the essence of Mediterranean dining with its relaxed atmosphere, warm hospitality, and superb traditional cuisine. From the first moment, the welcoming spirit, especially from the attentive staff like Paula, creates an inviting space for all, embracing diversity with genuine smiles and kindness.

The food here is a highlight that lingers long after the meal ends. The wood-smoked pizza delivers a smoky depth that complements the fresh, vibrant burrata salad beautifully. The menu respects local flavors, making every dish feel authentic and thoughtfully crafted. Families will appreciate the kid-friendly options, like crispy nuggets with fries served alongside refreshing granazza and popsicles, adding a playful touch to the dining experience.

What enhances the meal further is the carefully curated wine selection, featuring small decanters of well-chosen red wines that pair elegantly with the dishes. The coffee, from latté to cappuccino, stands out with its rich and smooth finish, perfect for savoring while watching children play by the sparkling, clear water just steps away.

Paillote Trottel Beach carries the unmistakable vibe of a Mediterranean chiringuito — laid-back, vibrant, and perfectly in tune with its natural surroundings. Music flows gently in the background, setting a smooth and easy mood that invites guests to linger. While the cash-only policy is a small hurdle in today’s digital age, it’s part of the Corsican coastal tradition that adds to the authenticity of the setting.

Overall, Paillote Trottel Beach is a gem for anyone seeking genuine Corsican flavors, seaside ambiance, and heartfelt service. It’s an ideal spot to relax, indulge in local culinary delights, and soak up the incomparable beauty of Ajaccio’s coast. Returning here is not just a choice — it’s an experience you’ll want to repeat before leaving Corsica.

To start... thanks so much Paula... without you we would have never be back a second day. It's difficult to find a smile when part of the LGBT community and you were just welcoming. We like your presence which helped to overpass some aspects.... Otherwise the club is so cool, walking distance from the centre. Traditional food and really nice wines selected Only small but so common downfall in Corsica is to have to pay by cash...I am not a fan of carrying 200+ EUR on me all day... first it's not safe, second it'll limit our spending... shame for the business will not buy a bottle of champagne;-) But that's the Corsican way..on the marinella

We only ordered drinks. They were good. Nice place with a good amount of seating but the beach. But only takes cash. A bit expensive but this is Corsica so.

A magic place, the atmosphere just off the water is something else. The mood is relaxed, everything just seems in the right place. The food was magnificent, the pizza was wood smoked, the burrata salad was fresh and vibrant, the kids enjoyed their nuggets and fries meal which came with a popsicle and a granazza (frozen flavoured drink.) Finished off the meal with a latté and a cappucino. Both were exquisite. My wife had a small decanter of red wine which she enjoyed. It was refreshing to let the kids run out to the water and play while we drank our coffee. The music was great, the vibe was smooth and relaxed. Will definitely return before we leave Corsica.

Trottel Beach has that perfect Corsican paillote vibe…like the best chiringuito on the Mediterranean. Super friendly people, incredibly clean and clear water, great food, good music. The ideal spot to chill by the sea!
